Our Process
Four phases, one principle: a clear, confidential process that respects your time, your team, and the business you built.
Most owners we meet have thought about a transition for years before acting on it. That is normal — and it is why our process starts with a conversation, not a valuation.
From the first call to life after closing, you will always know what comes next, what we need from you, and what stays confidential. Nothing moves faster than you want it to.
The Four Phases
Everything starts with a confidential, no-obligation conversation. We want to understand your business, your goals, and your ideal timeline — whether an exit is months away or years away. You will hear honestly whether we think there is a fit, and if there isn’t, we will say so early.
What we ask of you: an hour of your time and openness about where you want to end up. No preparation, no data room, no obligation.
If there is a fit, we review recent financials and get to know the operation — how work is won, how teams are organized, what customers value most. We move at a pace that respects your team and avoids disruption to day-to-day business. Your employees, customers, and competitors stay unaware; discretion shapes every step.
What we ask of you: recent financial statements and a few working conversations about how the business runs. We keep requests focused and infrequent.
We propose a deal structure built around your goals — a full exit, a gradual transition, or continued involvement — using flexible, creative terms rather than a one-size-fits-all offer. You review everything with your own advisors, on your timeline. A good structure is one both sides still feel good about years later.
What we ask of you: candid feedback on what matters most to you — price, timing, your role afterward, and what happens to your people.
After closing, we support the leadership team through a smooth transition and focus on the levers that build lasting value — supporting organic and acquisition-based growth, enhancing operational efficiency and margins, and implementing strategic financial planning. Throughout, we preserve the culture and customer relationships that made the business succeed.
What we ask of you: whatever level of involvement you chose — from an active leadership role to a well-earned retirement.

After Closing
Ownership is a responsibility, not a transaction. Four commitments guide every company in our care.
We help leadership teams grow the core business and, where it fits, expand through complementary acquisitions.
We focus on operational efficiency and margin expansion without compromising the quality that built the business.
We protect the company culture and the customer relationships that make each business distinctive.
We implement disciplined, strategic financial planning to keep the business resilient and well-positioned for the long term.
Questions

No. Every conversation is confidential. We understand how sensitive a potential sale is, and discretion shapes every step of our process.
No. A first conversation is about fit, not paperwork. Recent financial statements help once we move into a review, but you do not need a polished data room to start talking.
Yes. Many of the best transitions start with a conversation years before a sale. Planning ahead costs nothing and carries no obligation.
